Nerveblocker

Inferior alveolar nerve block trainer

About Nerveblocker

What this is

Nerveblocker is a free simulator for the inferior alveolar nerve block, built for dental students and open to anyone. It runs in a browser on the desktop and in a WebXR headset. The anatomy is a segmented patient mandible, not an idealised model, and the assessment rubric is derived from the same criteria the on-screen technique steps quote.

What it is not

This is a trainer for the geometry of the block, not a substitute for supervised clinical practice. It models needle placement against bone and nerve; it does not model soft-tissue deformation, aspiration, patient movement, anaesthetic pharmacology, or individual anatomical variation beyond the single dataset it ships with.
